Ellsworth’s Jaide Talbott – NexTech Wireless “One To Watch”

Ellsworth High School senior, Jaide Talbott enters her final season as a student-athlete. For her entire high school career, Talbott has enjoyed playing multiple sports for the Bearcats. Talbott plays tennis, basketball, cheer and softball.

“I have been a varsity player in all four sports my whole high school career. Sports can teach you so much that will stick with you in your future. My teammates have made long grueling seasons seem to fly by, they are my rock and drive to get better everyday. Along with my teammates, I have been blessed with amazing coaches. They love the game and love to see us grow as athletes and individuals,” said Talbott.

The senior is also involved in National Honor Society, E-Club and the Art Club. Her sports activities take up most of her time, but she does find time for other activities including her church youth group.

“Being involved in sports all year and my church youth group I stay very busy. In the free time I do have I love to paint, hang out with friends, and spend quality time with my family,” said Talbott.

Support from her schoolmates and community means a lot to Talbott and her teammates.

“The love and support I receive from my community and school is something I’ll never be able to repay. I’ve been fortunate to have an amazing foundation to grow from, made up of family, friends, and teammates,” said Talbott.

The youngest of four, Talbott is thankful to have a loving family and parents that support her on and off the field.

“The most influential people in my life have been my parents and siblings. I am the youngest of four children, some would see this as bad, but it has been a blessing. I was taught at a young age to do everything 100 percent, be tough, and stand up for those around you. My parents have supported me in every decision I have made and helped to make me the person I am today. To them I will be forever grateful,” said Talbott.

Her future plans include attending a Junior College to further her athletic career.

“I will be deciding soon if I will participate on a tennis, basketball or softball team at the next level. After that I will attend Fort Hays State University to Major in Business.”
