Salina South’s Katie Taylor – Senior Spotlight Presented by Nex-Tech Wireless

Salina South senior Katie Taylor got her start in soccer at the local YMCA. Her competitive nature was perfect for the sport.

“I started soccer when I was four at the YMCA, but i got really competitive with it around third grade. My parents just started me at a young age and I fell in love with the sport,” said Taylor.

Taylor enjoys being a good teammate and building relationships with her classmates.

“I have always loved the chemistry our team has had since we have all played together for such a long time,” said Taylor. “My favorite memory would be the bus rides home from games we won because we were all celebrating and having a good time the whole way home.”

The future plans for the graduate will include college and of course more soccer.

“I am continuing my soccer and academic career at Hutchinson Community College. I am studying business,” said Taylor.
