Todd Palic from Marion was chosen as the Hog Wild Performance of the Month for starting his wrestling season 10-0. Palic is one of the top-ranked wrestlers in the 195-pound weight class.
“So far I have thought my season has gone well,” Palic said. “I have yet to wrestle any ranked opponents but I am looking forward to that opportunity. As of right now I am 10 and 0 winning all matches by pins.”
Palic lost in the 3-1A quarter nals last season at 182 and nished fth, which was a steady improvement from 2019 where he did not place. The hope is that he takes another step this season.
“Being successful to me means showing improvement from year to year and being able to have all your hard work pay o in the end,” Palic said.
At Marion, Palic is also involved in football and track. He was an all-league linebacker for the Warriors. Outside of sports he participates in FBLA.
Next year, Palic plans to attend Manhattan’s School of Linemen.
