Eli Brunk and Harrison Brunk, cousins who attend Inman high school, have been chosen as the Commercial Tire Athletes of the Month. The seniors will get to play their last season of high school football together.
Eli is ready to show off his leadership and pilot the new players through the season.
“I’m super excited, we have lots of younger guys coming in who have been working and waiting for their chance to help our team and I feel we are ready for the challenge and to chase that state championship,” Eli said.
Harrison has been preparing with teammates and coaches working on his skills has a receiver.
“Our summer weights program has been one of the main ways I have been preparing for the upcoming season, but I have also been working on other areas outside of weights,” Harrison said. “Something I worked on improving this summer is my size as I was a smaller built wide receiver.”
The cousins are both undecided on a college, but are ready for the next step after high school.
“I’ve thought about playing football or basketball at the next level and I want to get an agribusiness degree and eventually run our family farm,” Eli said.
“As of now I am undecided on what college I am going to attend, but I will most likely major in computer engineering,” Harrison said.
