Stocton Timbrook, Abilene High School – Prep Performance Of The Month Presented By Hog Wild

By Hayden Swope

Stocton Timbrook of Abilene was a first team all-league player for the Cowboys last season, and the training over the offseason has helped Timbrook become even better.

Timbrook spent his time off in the gym strengthening himself to help hit those difficult shots.

“I continued getting stronger in the weight room, I’d like to continue working on hitting more shots from the perimeter,” Timbrook said.

With a state tournament appearance on his mind, Timbrook is excited to see all the goals along the road crossed off the list, and it starts by winning the league.

“Winning North Central Kansas League and winning substate,” Timbrook said. “It would be nice to make another trip to state for our senior year.”

A favorite memory of Timbrook’s was a long-awaited win against the Wamego Crusaders, and a couple overtimes later Timbrook and the Cowboys were celebrating a big victory.

“When we took Wamego into four overtimes at Wamego and ended up winning the game was a really special moment for the team,” Timbrook said.

Other than basketball, Timbrook is committed to play baseball at the next level, and is excited to continue on his athletic and educational journey.

“I’m going to be playing college baseball at Cloud County Community College and studying wind energy,” Timbrook said.
