Softball State Recap Presented By Salina Regional Sports Medicine

Class 5A 

Salina South took care of business, knocking off the second-seeded Baeshor Linwood Bobcats. 

They then went on to lose 6-0 to the now back-to-back state champions Valley Center. 

The Cougars placed fourth after a 2-0 loss to Shawnee Heights. 

Class 4A

McPherson placed second, falling to Wamego 1-0 in the state championship final.

McPherson finished the season 21-4. 

Class 2-1A

After coming into the state as the four seed, Eli-Saline took care of business 3-2 to win against Mound City and set up a date with undefeated McLouth, who won 10-0. 

Eli-Saline won third place after a 5-4 win over Bluestem.
