Hutchinson’s Maddie Rayl – Bowler of the Month Presented By The Alley

By Matt Browning

Hutchinson’s Maddie Rayl was a state qualifier last season, but she does not want to go as an individual this season.

“Some team goals I have this season include growing closer with teammates and having the whole team qualify to go to state,” Rayl said.

With that being said, Rayl was proud of being a state qualifier last year. Her high series was 462.

“A big accomplishment I reached last season was going to state,” Rayl said.

Developing consistency is an area Rayl wanted to improve and she did that in an unorthodox way.

“One area I want to improve on over the season is being more consistent,” Rayl said. “By doing other sports I have gotten stronger which will help me to reach my goals. Over the offseason I have been playing other sports such as volleyball and softball.”

Sports might be in the offering for Rayl in college, but she already knows what she wants to study.

“My future college plans include studying nursing, although it might not include playing sports I will still be staying busy,” Rayl said.
