Butler Community College in Andover, along with Junior Achievement, Wichita Area Builder’s Association, Professional Women Builders, Evergy, Higgins Group and others, hosted 130 sixth, seventh and eighth graders from USD 259 and the Andover School District for a Construction Symposium on Thursday, April 27.

This event took place on the Andover campus in the 5000 Building and in the Construction Building. They’ll participated in hands on activities with professional builders, electricians and plumbers, framers. The students learned about electricity with Evergy and soft skills career research with Junior Achievement. Butler’s construction professors were part of the safety training.
