Talan Pickering is a competitor who does not let his smaller stature hold him back. Bennington’s senior wide receiver is a big play waiting to happen. He is extremely shifty and is a sure-handed playmaker.
The Bennington Bulldogs are coming off an 0-8 season, so in order to get back to a winning record, Pickering and the rest of the team has taken their summer workouts incredibly seriously.
“It’s been a lot of hard work and time in the gym which will hopefully pay off this season,” Pickering said. “I have been in the gym lifting weights on my own time and working on my routes.”
The senior is coming off of a year where he had 252 receiving yards on 16 receptions. The numbers helped him earn a first-team All-League selection. For Pickering, the accolades were great, but he has his eyes set on more.
“My goal for this season is to make it past the first round of playoffs and to make first team All-League receiver,” he said.
With added muscle and quicker feet, Pickering has also had his mind open to playing at the next level.
“It would be an amazing opportunity to play football at the next level,” Pickering said. “I’m just starting the recruiting process and college search which has been an exciting adventure.”
