Baseball State Recap Presented By Salina Regional Sports Medicine

Class 4A

McPherson cruised their way to the state championship title with wins over Larned/Lacrosse, Paolo, and Chanute.

The Bullpups won their games at state by a combined 18 runs.

“Frankly, I have felt very overwhelmed and truly humbled,” coach Heath Gerstner said. “God gets all the glory, but our support has been unbelievable.”

After the 6-0 championship win over Chanute, the Bullpup seniors will go down in history as one of the most successful classes of all time.

“These seniors deserve this, but we also can’t forget why we are here, and we must give credit to all those that have supported us,” Gerstner said.
