Minneapolis High School senior Colton Bradford got his first taste of being outdoors at a very young age thanks to his father who taught a love for the outdoors to his kids.
“I started fishing at a really young age. My dad would take me and my brother out to go fishing a lot,” said Bradford.
Fishing is somewhat of a family tradition and Bradford enjoys being on the water while spending time with friends and family.
“I enjoy fishing over hunting, probably because I live close to the Bennington State Lake. I never really had to go very far to go fishing. Whenever you go fishing you may not catch anything, but it makes those days when you catch a lot all worth it,” said Bradford.
Bradford said being outdoors is always an adventure and he enjoys discovering new things.
Also a member of the football team, Bradford is involved in many activities at school including FFA, and rodeo which he has done most of his life. In his free time you can usually find him working on cars, driving around and attending rodeos. Future plans for Bradford include more education and more rodeo.
“I’m kind of looking at going to a two-year college or a technical school for welding, also I’m trying to go to a college with a rodeo team,” said Bradford.
