Luke Gleason is a senior at Southeast of Saline High School. He’s also a member of the cross-country team and the track team. As a student-athlete at SES, Gleason knows the value of hard work and being dedicated to improving his craft.
“What makes being a student athlete so great at SES is that you have so many options in building friendships and join different clubs and sports teams,” said Gleason. “My teammates are my favorite part of sports at SES because they push me to be my best.”
His work ethic and talent will likely find him competing at the next level once his high school career has come to a close.
“My plans are to run cross-country and track at Emporia State University and major in pre chiropractic,” said Gleason.
A six-year veteran of cross-country and track, Gleason understands what it means to prepare your mind and body for the rigors of competition. He also understands the importance of making good grades. His mother has been a big influence on him, on and off the track.
“My mom has been my biggest influence. She makes me work my hardest and she is always there with her famous post workout protein shakes,” said Gleason.
Gleason said he spends most of his free time playing video games and watch The Office with his family.
