Victoria Maxton was a three-sport standout athlete for Salina South High School where she played volleyball and basketball and excelled most in the pole vault for the Cougars.

Maxton was an honorable mention all-league middle blocker for Salina South last season.

She also averaged four points and six rebounds for the Cougars basketball team this past season.

But Maxton was one of the best track and field athletes in the state, as she was the defending pole vault champion in Class 5A.

Next year, Maxton will continue pole vault at Kansas State University.
