Bishop Carroll hires new volleyball and dance coach
- Updated: April 23, 2020
Bishop Carroll has hired Tammy Long to be its new volleyball coach and Sophi Frangenberg as its new dance sponsor, in a statement released Thursday afternoon.
Long, who spent that past two years as the Eagles’ JV coach, takes over for Rita Mernagh, after previously working for the Shockwave Volleyball Academy.
“I am excited about the opportunity of Coach Long continuing as a member of our BCCHS family and leading our volleyball program,” Carroll Athletic Director, Tyler Frazier said. “She has a wealth of knowledge that will continue the success at our school and she will lead our girls to be successful at the next level, on and off the court.”
Frangenberg currently teaches in the Art Department and has danced with the Kansas Dance Academy for 15 years; teaching there for four of those years.
“We also have the pleasure of welcoming Coach Frangenberg as the new Pom Sponsor of BCCHS,” Frazier said. “Her contagious and positive attitude will resonate through our girls and there is no doubt she will be a positive influence for them during their dance career at BCCHS.”
