Elyria Christian’s Connie Schott – Student of the Month Presented by Advanced Physical Therapy
- Updated: February 11, 2020
By Matt Browning
Connie Schott is a basketball and track athlete from Elyria Christian who used Advanced Physical Therapy in her recovery from a knee injury.
Schott is a guard on the Eagles basketball team, while she runs the 200-meter, 4 by 100 meter and 4 by 400 meter in track.
In her first home basketball game this year, Schott was running to a defender and fell down with a non-contact knee injury. She ended up tearing her ACL and meniscus.
She had surgery shortly after, with a week of recovery and then on to therapy at Advanced PT.
Schott discussed what services she has been receiving.
“(They have been) massaging out my knee, moving and loosening it along with the stairs,” Schott said.
She also talked about what the biggest gains have been thus far.
“The muscle building and my bending increasing,” Schott said.
